Acupressure Massage

During a treatment the acupunturist may use massage techniques before or after acupuncture treatment using needles. This may increase the effectiveness of the acupuncture. For example warming up an area that is very tense may release the muscles allowing the needle to be inserted more readily and increase its efficacy. Massage may also release some tightness which allows the therapist to better diagnose the underlying problem and this can lead to more specific treatment.

Massage can assist with relaxation during a treatment and allow the client to benefit fully from the effects of acupuncture. If a specific area is found that would benefit from additional massage then this can be performed in addition to the acupuncture itself. Acupuncturists at glasgow-acupuncture.co.uk are experienced and qualified in the use of massage.

Other Advanced Techniques : Electro-Acupuncture | Moxibustion |
